Nothing in the world can compare to staying at a luxurious hotel inside a room that has king size beds. To have the excitement of getting that room all to yourself is a feeling that one should not miss. At the same time it can be bittersweet. You may feel bitter that you will be returning to your double or queen bed when your stay is over. You can make a change, though. There may be space in your bedroom to get that king size bed after all. If this is true, then consider switching over. The stay was absolutely amazing and you feel spoiled so you decide that you want what you had at the hotel: a luxurious king size bed because a queen size bed just isn’t the same. No matter how wonderful the stay was you have to review the situation in your home bedroom carefully. King size beds with full size headboards, though great for sleeping on, come with a few drawbacks, like with many other things. Do you really have the room? Maybe space is not a problem because you would really rather have the luxury, but there is more you have to consider besides just mattress size.

Full size headboards are a great deal larger than those found on queen beds. Depending on style, full size headboards can be up to a whole foot of difference in size on each side. Likewise, the footboard will also be the same in difference of measurements as compared to a queen. In short, you will be sacrificing precious bedroom space.

It’s possible to get just one of the full size headboards while leaving the footboard off so that you conserve space and get additional freedom by the other side of the bed. Tall people who worry about not fitting their feet all the way in on the bed especially enjoy the extra space. However, consider that bedding may be more expensive than the bed you already own.

If it so happens that your master bedroom had enough room to hold king size beds with full size headboards, then just go for it. It is worth it to get that same feeling again that you had at the hotel. The space is simply all that you want in a bed. It’s so great that you will feel like rolling across the bed, basking in the knowledge that you will not be crowded when you go to sleep at night. That feeling is worth bringing in a larger bed, even if you have to give up a bit of room in your bedroom.
